The Bridge · A Leadership Transition Framework

You've spent 25 years building something real in Big Tech.
Now the ground has shifted.

The Bridge is a 12-session coaching programme for senior tech leaders over 50 who know something needs to change — but aren't sure what comes next. Six stages. Three phases. One structured crossing.

Cross with clarity. Lead with purpose. · 1% better every day.

I built The Bridge for one specific person. A Big Tech leader over 50 who has given everything to the job — and is now standing on the edge of something they can't quite name.

Twenty-plus years at Dell Technologies taught me that place well. Then came the moment — not dramatic, just honest — when I realised the roles I'd built my career around were changing faster than I was.

That moment became The Bridge.

The Crossing

Every leader who starts The Bridge is somewhere on the left. The work is getting to the right.

Before
After The Bridge
Stuck
Unsure of the next move — circling without momentum.
Clear
Knows exactly who they are and where they're going.
Invisible
Not seen or valued for the leader they truly are.
Confident
Shows up with presence, authority and conviction.
Overwhelmed
Too much noise, not enough clarity or direction.
Connected
Anchored to purpose, people and a solid plan.
Disconnected
Adrift from team, purpose and their own values.
In Motion
Executing with energy, focus and lasting impact.

Six stages. Three phases. One crossing.

Believe · Reflect · Identity · Dare · Grow · Execute — the letters spell The Bridge, and the crossing moves left to right, one phase at a time.

Inside each stage

Twelve sessions, four per phase. Each stage builds on the one before it — nothing is skipped, nothing is rushed.

Three acts of trust — in yourself, your coach, and the process — before anything else can move.
  • Co-design — your goals, set together in session one
  • Define — what changes, what grows, what success looks like
  • No fixed number — honesty matters more than headcount
  • Carried forward — goals travel with you across all six stages
Five threads of self-awareness — the foundation the whole crossing rests on.
  • Calling — your true north, not a job title
  • Compass — what actually matters to you
  • Meaning — how you show up, not just what you do
  • The Voice — the inner critic that isn't you
Real change starts once you feel safe in yourself and make space in your mind.
  • Comfort zone — dare to step outside it
  • Networking — choose your five, intentionally
  • Personal brand — from who you were to who you're becoming
  • Skill sets — an honest audit of your gaps
The moves that turn insight into motion.
  • Step outside comfort — growth lives at the edge
  • Face your reality — see your brand, network and gaps clearly
  • Choose your direction — cross toward who you're becoming
  • Commit — carry the decision into Grow and Execute
Your Human OS — the energy that fuels sustained action, in four parts.
  • Physical — body and movement, strength and stamina
  • Mental — thought and focus, clarity and decisions
  • Emotional — connection and feel, empathy and trust
  • Spiritual — purpose and values, direction and meaning
Your Human OS, fuelled by your four energies, directed into an eight-goal action plan.
  • Human OS — how you think, decide and lead daily
  • Four energies — physical, mental, emotional, spiritual
  • Impact zones — magic, influence, noise, delegate
  • Action plan — eight goals, built with you, owned by you
Your goals are not the destination. They're the bridge itself.

Every crossing starts with goal design in session one — and those goals travel with you the whole way.

01

Session 1 — Co-design

Coach and client meet to explore what matters most. Through honest conversation the goals take shape — not from a template, but from your life, your ambitions and your truth.

02

Reflect + define

Each goal is examined. What do you want to change? What do you want to develop? What does success look, feel and sound like? Goals are made specific and owned.

03

No fixed number

Every leader is different. Some arrive with one defining goal. Others surface six. The number matters less than the honesty and commitment behind each one.

04

They travel with you

Shaped in Believe + Reflect, tested in Identity + Dare, realised in Grow + Execute — they're the reason you cross.

Built by someone who made the crossing himself.

I spent 20+ years in Big Tech , most of it at Dell Technologies, building and leading technology products. I know the room you're in — because I've sat in it.

Since leaving, I've built a coaching practice around one belief: senior leaders don't need more advice. They need space, structure and someone who's made the crossing before them.

The Bridge isn't theory. It's been shaped and tested through real work with real clients — one crossing at a time.

If this resonates, I'd love to hear where you are right now.

No pressure, no pitch — just a first honest conversation about what comes next.
