The Bridge · A Leadership Transition Framework

You've spent 25 years building something real in Big Tech.
Now the ground has shifted.

The Bridge is a 12-session coaching programme for senior tech leaders over 50 who know something needs to change — but aren't sure what comes next. Six stages. Three phases. One structured crossing.

Cross with clarity. Lead with purpose. 1% better every day.

I built The Bridge for one specific person. A Big Tech leader over 50 who has given everything to the job — and is now standing on the edge of something they can't quite name.

Twenty-plus years at Dell Technologies taught me that place well. Then came the moment — not dramatic, just honest — when I realised the roles I'd built my career around were changing faster than I was.

That moment became The Bridge.

The Crossing

Every leader who starts The Bridge is somewhere on the left. The work is getting to the right.

Before

Stuck
Unsure of the next move — circling without momentum.
Invisible
Not seen or valued for the leader they truly are.
Overwhelmed
Too much noise, not enough clarity or direction.
Disconnected
Adrift from team, purpose and their own values.

After The Bridge

Clear
Knows exactly who they are and where they're going.
Confident
Shows up with presence, authority and conviction.
Connected
Anchored to purpose, people and a solid plan.
In Motion
Executing with energy, focus and lasting impact.

Six stages. Three phases. One crossing.

Believe · Reflect · Identity · Dare · Grow · Execute — the letters spell The Bridge, and the crossing moves left to right, one phase at a time.

Inside each stage

Twelve sessions, four per phase. Each stage builds on the one before it — nothing is skipped, nothing is rushed.

B
PRE
Believe
4 × 60-min sessions
"Trust is not given. It's built."
The Bridge begins with three acts of trust — in yourself, in your coach, and in the process. Without all three, the crossing can't begin. Once trust is there, the fear loses its grip and everything else opens up.
  • Goals co-designed with your coach in session one
  • No fixed number — honesty matters more than headcount
R
PRE
Reflect
4 × 60-min sessions
"Know yourself. Everything else follows."
Deep self-awareness across five threads — the foundation everything else in the crossing is built on.
  • Calling — your true north, not a job title
  • Compass — what actually matters to you
  • Meaning — how you show up, not just what you do
  • The Voice — the inner critic; it lives in you, but it isn't you
  • The Real You — the courage already there, waiting
I
Crossings
Identity
4 × 60-min sessions
"Who you are — and who you're choosing to become."
The crossing only becomes possible once you feel safe in yourself and create space in your mind.
  • Comfort Zone — a growth mindset is chosen, not given
  • Networking — find your five; you become their average
  • Personal Brand — old brand to new
  • Skill Sets — an honest 360° audit of your gaps
D
Crossings
Dare
4 × 60-min sessions
"The crossing only happens when you dare."
Growth lives at the edge of what's comfortable. This stage asks you to move toward what feels uncertain — not recklessly, but with intention and support.
  • Step outside your comfort zone, with a plan
  • Face your reality without flinching
  • Choose who you're becoming — not who you were
G
Post
Grow
4 × 60-min sessions
"Movement isn't accidental. It's designed."
Your Human OS — the personal software and hardware that fuels sustained action. Four energies: know what gives, and what takes.
  • Physical — exercise, sleep, nutrition
  • Mental — learning, boundaries, rest
  • Emotional — relationships, expression, safety
  • Spiritual — reflection, nature, meaning
E
Post
Execute
4 × 60-min sessions
"Act with focus. Lead with purpose."
Your Human OS, directed through your Impact Zones, builds into one action plan.
  • Magic Zone — your highest-value work
  • Influence Zone — shaping people and outcomes
  • Noise Zone — busy without leverage
  • Delegate Zone — work someone else should own
Your goals are not the destination. They're the bridge itself.

Every crossing starts with goal design in session one — and those goals travel with you the whole way.

01

Co-design

Coach and client meet to explore what matters most — through honest conversation, not a template.

02

Reflect + define

What do you want to change? What do you want to develop? What does success actually look like?

03

No fixed number

Some leaders arrive with one defining goal. Others with six. The honesty behind each one matters more than the count.

04

They travel with you

Shaped in Believe and Reflect. Tested in Identity and Dare. Realised in Grow and Execute.

Built by someone who made the crossing himself.

I spent 20+ years in Big Tech , most of it at Dell Technologies, building and leading technology products. I know the room you're in — because I've sat in it.

Since leaving, I've built a coaching practice around one belief: senior leaders don't need more advice. They need space, structure and someone who's made the crossing before them.

The Bridge isn't theory. It's been shaped and tested through real work with real clients — one crossing at a time.
